This is Singapore's National Day song 2010! Sung by Corrinne May. At first, I thought this song wouldn't be great for singing as a group. I stand corrected. I can imagine the whole singapore singing this song. It is such a lovely song! Corrinne May is such an amazing Singapore representative of out this year's National Day them: Live Our Dreams and Fly our Flags. She is such an inspiration to Singaporeans out there. Most people would say that to make it into the music industry, Singapore is definitely not the place, and I partially agree. It isn't an entirely wrong statement, BUT, that doesn't mean you have to change countries and migrate to find your dream! Singapore is our homeland, this is where we belong. Migrating doesn't change the fact that you're a Singaporean, and always will be!

On Friday, during my school's celebration, everything was really emotional. I was super happy and jumping. I screamed and belted out the wonderful past National Day songs of the past. I mean come on, How many countries have a different National Day song EVERY YEAR?! HOW MANY?! It was a really happy event, and well, okay I shall post more videos of my favourite National Day Songs!

NDP 2007: Will You



This song was sung when I was 12, when I had my last year in Primary School (Middle School). It was terribly emotional, and the song is very catchy and it consisted of various artistes! It is one of many favourites, and I like that the tempo is very upbeat.

NDP 2008: Shine for Singapore - Hady Mirza (Singapore Idol 2007& Asian IDOL)


I liked this song very much too, and I like that the song is happy and slow and just beautiful. It sounds soft and stale when sung alone, but when my whole SCHOOL chorused, it was the most beautiful songs I had ever heard. (Okay, maybe I am a bit emotionally patriotic!)

NDP 2001: Where I belong - Tanya Chua



One of the most memorable songs I have heard, and I believe this one had dance moves! There were some National Day songs which had a couple of dance choreography, and the whole school had to dance along (In the past I mean).

TODAY'S UPDATES [Pending...]

I went to IKEA! Ate some food which I kind of don't love. I LOVE THE HOT DOGS THOUGH! They were so cheap!!! 1 DOLLAR! For bun and sausage! Got some 2 pieces of clothing from Cotton On.

Ignore the shadow, I kind of used my macbook, so its kind of difficult to get a good view. Basically the black is just a flowy piece, and the pink is kind of a camisole, but not really? I don't know, but they are like your basic tees, which you can where in anyway, which I think is a good versatile buy.

I am going to watch the television on other National Day stuff!! Not feeling too patriotic tonight, but I guess its where you're at ain't it?

HAPPY 45TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE PART 1

Today is my country's 45th birthday! For clueless people who does not know what, where 'huhSingapore. Here's a wiki --> CLICK FOR SINGAPORE!

Basically it is Singapore's birthday and I'm feeling a whale of excitement brimming with a scoop of happiness! So this is how I spent my National Day Eve and National Day!

National Day EVE:

Celebrated in church!!! I really felt God's presence, and I enjoyed the prayer during worship. It was pretty neat! So this is probably the face I wore to church...

As simple as the fingernails look well, it was quite simple. Maybe I'll do a post on it some other time. (: Back to church, like... WOAH! That to church? Isn't there a rule against being too pretty? Okay I'm kidding, but people are probably wondering why I look so cakey, well I actually don't look too cakey, its the effects, and my window has the best 'wash-out-bad-blemish' light ever! I took this when I returned home okay! So don't think I spent my whole entire day in church snapping pictures on my camera! I don't even have a working one! Its all macbook stuff! (The powers of Macbook is amazing!)

I may have amped up the make up when I took the picture, cause I only have mascara and eyeliner on in church (Plus my nails!) The band is kind of upside down, I hope it doesn't mean anything bad for my lovely country, it was given by my church in a goodie bag, which is a really cute tote hanging on my door now.

So basically I'm very into casual clothes right now. I've been wearing jeans a bunch, and I don't have many pairs okay! So i wore it with a casual cami and boyfriend plaid shirt. I think it's pretty casual. So I took like 20 takes of pictures to get the 'perfect' picture for my profile pic I was dying to change because it was too creepy. (Okay, it wasn't but it was not nice!)

I was having guests over, or my parents were...

So I had to go all the way to Kovan MRT to collect the

stuff I bought and my birthday presen, which is like a billion miles from where I live (totally exaggerating!!) finally got it. A palette (Like the coastal scents 78 makeup palette, but WAY smaller, and my Ecotools brush set!!! AMAZING!

Will do a review on the palette before posting any link, simply because I am not hundred percent plus 'chop' sure about me liking the new palette simply because when I tried it, it kind of flaked like the cheap kinds, so yep...

Had a lovely dinner when I went home, Stew, some spicy and sour curry thing and beef! I loved it, and it was further more accompanied with a..

I love love love durians, except the aftermath, because the taste after that is terribly weird. Like I'm eating plastic. EEK!

I played more, but I am too tired to remember...

September's after August, and I really wanted to get a few things. I few lot of things! Outfit of the Day - 31 July 2010

I just did an outfit of the day video on my Youtube Channel which username is the exact same one as my blog! I know this is a day late, or 2 days late, but I'm gonna post an embed code anyways!



Basically, I was attending a church service which I was supposed to help out in, and I honestly found no need to over dress or under dress for that matter. We're there to worship God, and I think it would be nice to dress decently. Advertorials and fashion today channels the need for 'Sexiness' or 'Sexual appeal' which on my part, I do not think is really a good thing to expose to teens and children as 'okay'. So therefore, I just wore an outfit that is not exactly over the top wonderful, but it looks decent, and anyone can look good in it!

I paired this outfit with a pair of grey checkered converse I borrowed from my sister!

I got my first Youtube subscriber, which is a friend of mine, and I got another one too! Thats 2 in a day! It made me really happy and over the top.

Tip: If you're going somewhere where you have to walk and work. I suggest casual jeans that are NOT hipster, or at least a top that goes pass your bottom, because when you bend, it isn't really a nice sight contrary to popular belief.

Teddy Geiger!

Yes, I've done a review of a Youtube singer Shayne Orok already! Who on earth is Teddy Geiger now!? He is a huge part of music that made my life. When I was 11? Green day, Panic! At the Disco, any songs during then, was playing in my ipod. CONSTANTLY. Like I listened to Kelly Clarkson to sleep. To sum it all, those times, was when music started being part of my life in major ways.

To start off, Teddy Geiger is a male singer who is utterly awesome. His songs are pretty soulful in meaning and divert to a more indie genre which I know is some of the songs that we like, listen to, but never really heard off. Everyone's favourite song from him was his hit 'For You I Will (Confidence)', which was obviously how I first discovered him, & Youtube.

Geiger has been an inspiration in my little life, and his songs are very applicable to life in pictorial ways. What do I mean? Its like a movie, but we can relate to it. Recently, after getting my new laptop (I waited FOREVER!) I wanted to put some songs in my itunes, therefore...

I was whisked into music of 2005-2008. Of which, Geiger ranked 2nd as most memorable song ever. This led to me listening to 'You'll be in My heart', original sung by Phil Collins, covered by Geiger. I loved it. Who wouldn't?!

Even though he has no recent albums/hits, I still love his music, and I strongly feel that music is timeless, and no length of time can ever weigh out the meaning and the memory!

Nonetheless...

My favourite song of all time from him!

I wish more songs had such an impact in my life, and truly they do!

Shayne Orok!

I discovered this new singer lately...

His name is Shayne Orok. I actually knew about him through one of Shane Dawson's Youtube videos. At first, he seemed like a super talented guy, who's just super talented, cool and all suave with his hair cut and all, but he was more down to earth than I thought.

He has an incredible passion for music that is really hard to find these days. Doing covers is one thing, but writing Youtube Hit songs? That's amazing. They are not globally big hits, but they're good enough to be! He is the likes of Owl City, and did a beautiful cover on their single 'Fireflies', which was one of the Most Watched videos with 439,000 views as of 20th July 2010.

So this is one fact about him that I learnt when I started diving through his Vlogs, Covers and Originals...

Quoting his About Me section:

some things you should know about me. when i was born, i was diagnosed with an eye cancer, resulting in literally no vision in my left eye. i have lived with an artificial eye for basically my entire life and cannot see through my left eye. my greatest aspiration in life is to become a professional musician. thank you to everyone who has subscribed, tells others about my music or supports me in any way. :)

Is he an inspiration or what!? Furthermore, he has a couple vlogs which have been super interactive! I personally enjoy his vlogs the most, because as a person, he was a nice quirky! Paired with an undeniable flair for music, its no wonder he is rather well liked! His music is more to the Indietronica, which is a not so popular, but ever so wonderful genre of music, and by not so popular, I meant among singers.

I cannot wait for this guy to come up with an album so I can listen to him like, forever?! The best part? His lyrics have meaning, much meaning. Its almost as if he has a different song suitable for nearly everyone?

Little Miss Post One!

Hey there! My original blog was Tres Tres C, but it started too well go a little off topic, and it became more of a personal blog, which I honestly think would usually appeal to people who know me! So this blog is all music and beauty/fashion related articles, reviews and more! It really is universal! So this is just a first post, post like most posts!

A little background: I just turned 15 on the 18th of June, I'm asian and I hail from Singapore, which is NOT part of China! Like any other 15 year old, I'm sprouting into a young adult, so therefore, vanity comes with the package! Indeed, beauty is a form of art, but only to some. It is to me, in some ways!

I enjoy most forms of music depending on my mood. I take pride in looking good especially when I go out. I take pride in privacy, and I do enjoy eating very much!
